Planning, Research & Statistics
Planning, Research and Statistics Department (PRSD) is one of the nine (9) departments of the Agency. It has the responsibilities of strategic decision-making by providing data-driven insights for informed decisions. It is also responsible for the development and monitoring of plans to achieve the objectives of the Agency. RSD optimises resource allocation through effective planning in addition to informing policy decisions with data and research, and identifies opportunity for growth and improvement through innovative ideas vias-a-vis conducting studies to address Agency challenges, etc.

The department tracks key performance indicators (KPIs), assessing progress and identifying areas for improvement through adequate monitoring and evaluation. PRSD analyses market trends, client needs, and competitor activity, informing, business development and innovation, through market research and intelligence. The department helps in policy development and review by providing insights for informed policy formulation, review and revision, ensuring relevance and effectiveness. It focuses on optimising resource allocation by identifying areas of need and potential return on investment.
Statistical analysis and research carried out in the Department can identify potential risks, enabling proactive mitigation strategies to foster a culture of innovation, and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

- Monitoring and Evaluation Division: This division plays a crucial role in the Agency. Its functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Serves as a continuous process to track progress by collecting data on project/programme implementation.
- Measures performance by assessing efficiency, effectiveness, and impact
- Provides evidence-based recommendations for future planning and informed-decision-making by improving planning accuracy
- Organizational Policy, Research and Statistics Division: The functions of this
division include the following:
- Guides decision-making by establishing frameworks for planning and operations.
- Defines objectives by outlining the Agency’s goals and priorities.
- Solves problems by analysing challenges and develops solutions.
- Evaluates effectiveness by assessing impact and efficiency.
