NBRDA DG Honoured with Icon of Integrity Award

The Director General of the National Biotechnology Research and Development Agency (NBRDA), Prof. Abdullahi Mustapha, has been honoured with the Award of Excellence as an Icon of Integrity by the Zero Tolerance for Corruption Association (ZTCA).

The award recognises Prof. Mustapha’s commitment to integrity, transparency, accountability, and his stance on zero tolerance for corruption. It also highlights his dedication to mentorship, transformational leadership, and contributions to national development.

Presenting the award at the NBRDA Headquarters in Abuja, the President of ZTCA, Edify Osezua, described the Director General as “a true icon of integrity, a phenomenal leader, and a role model to young people across Nigeria.” He added that the DG’s exemplary leadership and commitment to integrity and good governance make him a mentor figure whose values the association hopes to continually draw inspiration from.

In his response, Prof. Mustapha commended ZTCA for its efforts in promoting integrity and good governance across the country. He expressed gratitude for the recognition, stressing that the honour is a call to greater service. He further reaffirmed NBRDA’s commitment to upholding transparency and accountability, and empowering Nigeria’s youth through biotechnology as drivers of innovation and sustainable national growth.
